Solar activator

Have you heard of the famous Solar Activator?

Every year when the good weather arrives, I talk to you about it and show it to you all the time! It is the best ally to protect yourself from the sun, receive Vitamin D, get a 10/10 tan without premature aging and avoiding new spots on the skin.

But first, check out this article I shared with you so you understand how important vitamin D is for your health. https://attura.es/blogs/attura-blog/vitamina-d

Activador solar - Attura

What is it?

It is a 100% natural cosmetic, formulated with marine prebiotics, minerals and vitamins that activates the natural defenses of your skin (melanocytes ), that is, it allows the biological mechanisms in our skin to work to protect us .

It is important to understand that we cannot call it sunscreen , since it does not create a screen , neither chemical nor mineral, that is, it does not allow the sun's rays to penetrate our skin, but IT DOES PROTECT US. How? The solar activator reduces transepidermal water leakage during exposure to UV rays, sweat and chlorine in swimming pools.

Prevent skin blemishes, premature aging and sunburn. All thanks to:

  • Marine probiotics: Strengthen and regenerate skin balance.
  • Coconut: Rich in magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, iodine, iron, selenium, sodium, magnesium and trace elements. And thanks to natural zinc, it is a cell protector.
  • Avocado: Loaded with essential amino acids, potassium and vitamins B and E.
  • Sesame: Abundant in essential amino acids and zinc, essential for revitalizing connective tissue.

SOLAR ACTIVATING CREAM

If you have skin blemishes and want to know how to apply it, read the article until the end. It is very important that you understand how you should take care of your skin.

How does it protect me?

Activates the skin's natural defenses (melanin) To understand it better:

Our body detects the rise in temperature through the nerve endings in the skin and the melanocyte is activated to start producing melanin in the skin cells. In approximately 3 or 4 days, a whole layer of cells with melanin inside rises to the surface, creating a physical barrier of defense, which is what we see as a tan.

It is important to know that in order to activate the production of melanin (defense), it is necessary to be exposed to ultraviolet rays.

These cells are surrounded by a layer called 7-dehydrocholesterol, which as soon as it comes into contact with ultraviolet light, automatically converts into vitamin D3, which is not functional, but is the beginning of an entire process that begins in the skin, goes through a second transformation in the liver, where it reaches through the blood vessels, and ends in the kidneys, where it is actually transformed into vitamin D. This process lasts about 6 months, and is carried out as long as you do not have any pathology in any of these organs.

How should I use it?

First of all, we must obviously be aware and understand that everything in excess is bad, that if we have poor sun exposure it will not be beneficial and what we will achieve is premature aging, so we must balance the scales, seek good health and good skin care.

During the winter we are covered up and therefore the skin has not needed to create melanin to protect itself, although the ideal is to expose ourselves throughout the year to create solar calluses, so the ideal would be to start gradually sunbathing every day at non-peak hours for 10 minutes, 15 minutes increasing up to 30 minutes and activate melanin synthesis.

How should I apply it?

It protects you from the dermis, so you have to apply it without leaving a trace of product, that is, without leaving any white residue. It is absorbed little by little until it reaches the second layer of the skin, protecting it and activating the production of melanin and thus slowing down the entry of ultraviolet rays so that your body can generate vitamin D.

You should apply the product for about 30 minutes constantly during the first few days, as you need stimulation and activation of melanin. Once the synthesis is complete (you will see this when your skin has a nice, uniform tan color), you can apply it every hour.

Below I describe how to use it in children and adults with phototype 1 and 2.

 Important!

By activating melanin synthesis, the skin regenerates in 3 or 4 days, when its natural process is 28 or 30 days, which is why at first you may peel, since your skin is shedding those cells that have no consistency.

On the other hand, when the body receives high temperatures, it self-regulates by dilating the blood vessels to sweat and lower the body temperature. This process can cause your skin to turn red, but BE CAREFUL, it is not the same as getting burned, since it does not hurt.

And within hours of exposure it will be gone!

And the million dollar question.
Hey Laura, can everyone use the Solar Activator?

Yes! But there are several important factors to take into account.

  • IF YOU HAVE MELASMA OR SKIN SPOTS.

Using solar activator is wonderful for skin prone to spots, as it will prevent any NEW spots from appearing.

But what about the stains you already have?

Obviously they will tan just like the rest of your skin, so it is possible that they will darken a little. However, over the years, as the skin's natural defenses increase, in many cases they end up disappearing due to the regeneration of the melanocytes themselves.

What about Melasma?

In this case, the same will happen, it will be highly recommended for the health of our skin, but my experience with people who suffer from melasma and the solar activator has not been positive due to an emotional issue and it is that depending on the size and location of the spot, it can cause a lot of discomfort to see how it darkens...

Therefore, it is ideal to use it on the body and apply sunscreen where the melasma is.

  • CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH PHOTOTYPE 1 AND 2.

Since they have very white skin, they tend to burn easily. My recommendation is to sunbathe at OFF-peak hours and gradually, starting with 10 minutes and gradually increasing the exposure, varying the time slot as the tan increases. My advice is to always carry physical protection with you (cap, hat, umbrella) and alternate periods of sun and shade.

If you go to the beach or pool with children, always carry a biological 50 SPF sunscreen with you in case the exposure time is longer during peak hours.

  • CHRONIC INFLAMMATION, PHOTOSENSITIVE MEDICATION

I recommend applying sun protection to your face, neck and neckline to avoid dark spots and applying sunscreen to your body for about 10 minutes a day to absorb vitamin D, which will not only benefit your health, but also your skin, helping to eliminate and improve the spots you already have.

  • SKIN PATHOLOGIES

Combine sunbathing and sunbathing. If necessary due to skin sensitivity, apply sunscreen with 50 SPF on the face, neck and neckline. It is not advisable for acne-prone skin as it tends to be very dense and ends up creating a feeling of dirtiness and excess sebum.

When there are skin pathologies of this type, it is important to work on the absorption of vitamin D, which is why we will apply the solar activator to the entire body. This increase in vitamin D directly benefits the skin's immune system, helping in the regeneration of marks and scars, reducing skin inflammation, and preventing future injuries.

Finally, if you are going on excursions or prolonged exposure to the sun that does not allow you to constantly renew the activator, apply sunscreen and it is equally important to bring physical sunscreen with you (cap/hat/long-sleeved shirt...).

As I mentioned at the beginning, you have to be aware and moderate your exposure to the sun to get the most out of its benefits without damaging your skin.

Why is there so much fear of the sun?

We are constantly receiving information about the importance of always using sunscreen, at all times and at all hours. And this information only points in one direction: HOW BAD the sun is for our skin, but we have forgotten that human beings function under Nature's operating system.

We must be connected to it if we do not want to lose our health, and in this case we must let our body be exposed to the sun.

What harms us severely is the modern lifestyle we lead today, where chronic stress and some fairly improvable eating habits keep us in a continuous imbalance that obviously generates inflammation (this silent and prolonged inflammation is what makes our skin stain or weaken with sun exposure) since when we live with inflammation our barrier function is totally unbalanced.

See if it changes the story they tell you about the sun being the devil!

Instead of obsessing about putting on sunscreen all the time, focus on improving your quality of life and your diet.

It's interesting to know this: Life flourished massively thanks to the ability of plants to capture photons from the Sun in the process known as photosynthesis. There is not a single aspect of human physiology that is not influenced by light.
