Health in women

After posting about intimate area care, I received many requests to know more about how to care for, moisturize, balance and feel more comfortable with your vagina, but not only that, I also want to talk to you about health in general.

If I am convinced of one thing, it is that in all these years studying and putting holistic medicine into practice, I have learned many things that help me and I want to share them with you.

Being able to share part of my experience as a thank you for all the support and love you give me and creating a community of empowered, conscious women who love learning to take care of themselves naturally is a true gift for me.

FEEDING

I have been nourishing my body with a Low Carb Diet for years, which is based on reducing carbohydrate consumption. This allows us to stabilize blood sugar levels and obtain healthy and stable energy through our fat reserves.

It is without a doubt the regimen that I constantly prescribe to heal multiple internal inflammation problems that are the main cause of many skin pathologies, but it will not only help you improve your skin, it goes much further.

My recommendation and nutritional guidelines are based on my clinical experience as a dietician and PNIE.

  • Hormonal balance

It helps regulate hormones and improves their functioning , thanks to its low glycemic index. By not ingesting carbohydrates, insulin levels in the blood are regulated and improved, and even hormonal problems disappear.

  • Weight reduction

Body fat production is dramatically reduced and metabolism is actively promoted.
You will replace carbohydrates with the intake of some fats, and this will make your body change the roll completely, obtaining energy from fats and not from carbohydrates as the main source.

Fats provide much more stable energy to the body.

With this type of diet, you will feel more satiated and you will not have glucose spikes, which is what makes you snack between meals and have anxiety.

  • Gain mental clarity

There is a very common mistake. Thinking that it is necessary to consume sugar for the brain to function, the reality is that it only needs a small amount per day, which our body can produce without needing to ingest it.

By reducing carbohydrates, your brain obtains most of its energy from ketone bodies, which makes it work at a lower temperature, and therefore greater lucidity and a feeling of well-being and improvement.

  • Reduces inflammation

Chronic tissue inflammation is one of the most important problems in our society and is responsible for a large number of pathologies.
By reducing hypoglycemic spikes in blood with a low-carbohydrate, high-protein, high-fat diet, inflammation is reduced and even disappears, restoring balance to health.

  • Intestine and microbiota

It is common to see people in consultation on a daily basis who present symptoms of abdominal inflammation, with reflux, poor digestion, constipation, gas, among others.

By eliminating certain foods such as legumes, cereals, and excessively refined flours, you reduce intestinal inflammation and balance the microbiota.

  • Increase energy

If you feel a little more tired when you start with this type of diet, it is normal, it depends on the degree of intoxication that you have in your body, the first thing your body will do is mobilize them to expel them, in addition the body must get used to using the metabolism of fats to the point that perhaps you have not felt it for years.

GYNECOLOGICAL CARE

The feminine intimate area is very delicate and therefore requires special care. Here are some tips to prevent infections, vaginal dryness and itching.

  • Cleaning

We have been led to believe that cleaning your intimate area with soap is ideal, but they are the cause of altering and destroying the vaginal pH , killing the lactobacillus, which are the bacteria responsible for maintaining the pH in balance, leaving the area completely unprotected and within reach of any bacteria, thus causing the appearance of infections, such as candida.

  • Healing.

Sitz baths with medicinal plants, if you haven't heard of it, pay attention because it's super interesting and super pleasant.

Simply put, it consists of putting water to boil with different types of plants and positioning ourselves on top of it so that we can receive the steam in our intimate area.

 Ideally, you should do this in a bidet, but if you don't have one, there are special chairs for doing these baths. Once you are positioned on top, you should cover yourself with a sheet above your waist so that the vapours don't escape.

It is a very effective remedy to combat the discomfort caused by urinary infections (such as cystitis or candidiasis), gynecological disorders, painful menstruation, dryness and fungus.

 These baths activate the circulation in the lower abdomen, in organs such as the bladder, large intestine and genital organs.

 

You can take baths of a maximum of 10 minutes, 1 to 3 times a day.

Bath for infections such as candidiasis

Ingredients:

· 2 Liters of Water

· A handful of fresh sage

· A handful of lavender

· A handful of thyme


Preparation:

1. Bring the water to a boil, and when it's ready, add all the plants.

2. Remove the water from the heat and stir well.

3. Carefully pour the infused water into the container where you will be taking the bath.

4. Position yourself over it, being careful not to burn yourself, and cover yourself with a sheet to keep the vapors in.

For fungus, a warm bath with apple cider vinegar is also advisable.

Bath for vaginal dryness

Ingredients:

· 2 Liters of Water

· A handful of mallow

· A handful of Calendula


Preparation:

1. Bring the water to a boil, and when it's ready, add all the plants.

2. Remove the water from the heat and stir well.

3. Carefully pour the infused water into the container where you will be taking the bath.

4. Position yourself over it, being careful not to burn yourself, and cover yourself with a sheet to keep the vapors in.

Bath to reduce inflammation and menstrual pain.

Ingredients:

· 2 Liters of Water

· A handful of chamomile

· A handful of thyme

· A handful of lavender

· AE of Romero

Preparation:

1. Bring the water to a boil, and when it's ready, add all the plants.

2. Remove the water from the heat and stir well.

3. Carefully pour the infused water into the container where you are going to take the bath and add 6 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil.

4. Position yourself over it, being careful not to burn yourself, and cover yourself with a sheet to keep the vapors in.

 

And last but not least, if you suffer from it very often, I advise you to take probiotics that benefit your vaginal flora to recover the lactobacillus and prevent any type of infection.

  • Bromatech Female (2 capsules per day, after the main meals).

And the option of natural ovules, if you suffer from candidiasis. They have prebiotic activity and are placed directly on the vaginal mucosa. They promote the rebalancing of vaginal pH and the correct development of lactobacillus in the bacterial flora.

  • Candinorm by Pegasus (1 suppository per day, preferably at night, for 10 consecutive days).
